Programme Talk: Bachelor of Finance in Asset Management and Private Banking Venue: Room 102, 1/F, K.K. Leung Building

Introduced by the Faculty of Business and Economics in 2016, Bachelor of Finance in Asset Management and Private Banking (BFin(AMPB) is the first undergraduate programme of its kind in Hong Kong and Asia.

The Programme aims to prepare students to enter the rapidly growing fields of asset management and private banking in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. The curriculum covers two major areas of study, including the management of money for institutions and individuals in different asset classes and the provision of advice and services in private banking according the specific needs of High Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) clients with liquid assets of US$1 million or more.

Virtual Reality (VR), a simulated 3-D environment, helps industries and companies to make better business decisions, or improve operations.

Faculty of Engineering has successfully created a truly immersive virtual environment – the imseCAVE. It was used to develop virtual reality-empowered training systems and programmes for ramp operations in Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) and detective training for the Criminal Investigation Department in the Hong Kong Police Force.

- From EEE towards Electric Vehicle: Demo on electric vehicle technologies
Venue: Open Space Area behind Cheng Yu Tung Tower

Students studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering in HKU will learn various electric vehicle technologies, which will be demonstrated by a realistic electric vehicle. In the HKU Information Day, students can have a chance to have a closer look of a real electric vehicle and see the inner part components including the engines, the battery and the car chassis. The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering invited Tesla HK, to have a display of a electric car (Model S), and a car chassis.
